Before deploying MASACP, please ensure your server meets the hardware, operating system, and networking prerequisites outlined in this guide.

Important Requirement: MASACP must be installed on a fresh, clean operating system installation. Do not install MASACP on a server with existing web server stacks (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed), database engines (MySQL, MariaDB), or other hosting control panels (cPanel, Plesk, CyberPanel, CloudPanel).

Supported Operating Systems

MASACP supports modern 64-bit (x86_64 / amd64 and aarch64 / arm64) Linux distributions:

Operating System Supported Versions Architecture Status
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble) / 22.04 LTS (Jammy) x86_64, arm64 Highly Recommended (Primary)
Debian 12 (Bookworm) / 11 (Bullseye) x86_64, arm64 Highly Recommended
AlmaLinux 9.x / 8.x x86_64, arm64 Supported
Rocky Linux 9.x / 8.x x86_64, arm64 Supported
RHEL 9.x x86_64 Supported

Note: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Debian 12 are the primary continuous integration (CI) platforms for MASACP and receive performance optimizations first.

Hardware Specifications

1. Minimum Specifications (Development & Personal VPS)

Suitable for testing, staging environments, or small personal websites with light traffic:

  • CPU: 1 vCPU / Core (1.5 GHz or higher)
  • RAM: 1 GB Physical Memory (at least 1 GB swap space recommended)
  • Storage: 15 GB SSD / NVMe available disk space
  • Network: 100 Mbps network interface with a public IPv4 address

2. Recommended Specifications (Production & Small Businesses)

Recommended for commercial websites, WooCommerce stores, and multi-tenant hosting environments:

  • CPU: 2 to 4 vCPUs / Cores (2.0 GHz or higher)
  • RAM: 2 GB to 4 GB Physical Memory
  • Storage: 40 GB+ high-speed NVMe storage
  • Network: 1 Gbps port speed with unmetered or high bandwidth

3. High-Traffic & Enterprise Hosting

For web agencies, high-traffic e-commerce clusters, and reseller hosting providers:

  • CPU: 8+ vCPUs / Cores
  • RAM: 8 GB to 32 GB+ ECC RAM
  • Storage: RAID-10 NVMe Enterprise SSDs
  • Network: Redundant Gigabit Uplinks with DDoS mitigation

Virtualization & Kernel Requirements

MASACP relies on modern Linux kernel features (such as Cgroups v2 for CPU/RAM tenant isolation, iptables/nftables for firewalls, and systemd for service lifecycle management).

  • Supported Platforms: KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine), VMware ESXi, Proxmox VE, Hyper-V, and Dedicated Bare-Metal Servers. Compatible with AWS EC2, Google Cloud Compute Engine, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, and Vultr.
  • Unsupported Platforms: OpenVZ 6 (legacy containers lacking Cgroups v2 support) and unprivileged LXC containers without systemd nesting.

Network & Firewall Ports

Ensure that your cloud security group (e.g., AWS Security Group, Cloudflare, or Hetzner Firewall) allows inbound traffic on the following ports:

Essential Ports (Required)

  • Port 8443 (TCP): MASACP Control Panel HTTPS Web Interface
  • Port 80 (TCP): HTTP Web Traffic & Automated Let’s Encrypt SSL Domain Validation
  • Port 443 (TCP): HTTPS Secure Web Traffic (TLS 1.2 & TLS 1.3)
  • Port 22 (TCP): Secure Shell (SSH) Remote Server Access

Optional Ports (Required only if specific services are enabled)

  • Port 7080 (TCP): OpenLiteSpeed WebAdmin Console (optional)
  • Port 21 & 49152-65535 (TCP): FTP / SFTP Passive Data Ports
  • Port 25, 465, 587 (TCP): SMTP / SMTPS Mail Server Delivery & Submission
  • Port 993, 995 (TCP): IMAPS / POP3S Encrypted Mail Retrieval

Pre-Installation Checklist

Before executing the one-line installation script, verify the following steps:

  1. Fresh Operating System: Verify no existing Apache, Nginx, or MariaDB instances are active.
  2. Root Access: Ensure you have direct root user access or a user with passwordless sudo privileges.
  3. DNS Record: Create a DNS A Record pointing your desired control panel hostname (e.g., cp.yourdomain.com) to your server’s public IPv4 address.
  4. System Packages Updated: Run standard operating system repository updates:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

Next Step: Once your server fulfills all prerequisites, proceed to the One-Line Installation guide to deploy MASACP in under 60 seconds.
